Relative Humidity Meters - Reviews & Free Shipping - KestrelMeters.com
Relative Humidity is the ratio of the amount of water vapor in the air at a specific temperature to the maximum amount that the air could hold at that temperature, expressed as a percentage. For a given dewpoint and its corresponding absolute humidity, the relative humidity will change inversely with the temperature. Relative humidity is often used in weather forecasts and reports, since it is an indicator of the likelihood of precipitation, dew, or fog. In hot summer weather, Relative Humidity also increases the apparent temperature to humans (and other animals), by preventing the evaporation of perspiration from the skin.Weather meters and other instruments which measure Relative Humidty are called "hygrometers."
